Aaron Judge, Yankees

        .288 AVG / .404 OBP / .521 SLG / 5 HR / 11 RBI

The captivating play of the New York Yankees has enthralled the baseball world, since the organization’s resurgence following the 2016 trade deadline. Immense talents such as Gary Sanchez, Luis Severino, and Gleyber Torres have arisen, however, no player has captured the hearts of the Yankees’ fanbase as quickly as Aaron Judge has.

They are drawn to his electric playstyle, with which he easily can drive a ball out of the park to any field he chooses. Many fans also appreciate his personality, believing he is one of the most marketable players in the sport.

His approach at the plate is exceptional, as he will sacrifice strikeouts- along the lines of the modern game- for walks and home runs. He is the most extreme and productive form of the modern player, making him extremely difficult for a pitcher to face. The strikeouts do provide limitations for him, however, as his approach will once in a while falter.

Another element to his game that can impress any viewer is his stunning arm strength from right field. He can gun any baserunner down from his familiar position in right field. However, he sustained a significant oblique strain that will likely hold him out for six, hurting his overall impact for this season.

The reason Judge is a star is that he stands out from an exciting team in one of the biggest fanbases in the sport. His beloved status in the Bronx is exactly what makes him a star.
