Detroit Tigers — They make the playoffs

From May 8 through the end of the 2021 season, the Detroit Tigers went 68-61, which is equivalent to a record of 85-77 for 162 games. Adding Javier Báez, Eduardo Rodríguez, Tucker Barnhart, and Austin Meadows will help make them a lot better.

Add another playoff spot and the Tigers will be a very sneaky team that very well could make the playoffs.

Kansas City Royals — They finish at .500

The Kansas City Royals went 74-88 in 2021. They didn’t make many additions this offseason but they did sign Zack Greinke to be their ace and MLB.com’s #2 overall prospect Bobby Witt, Jr. will be on their Opening Day roster.

Those two additions with some growth from their other prospects means that they could also surprise some people. They are a season or two away from the playoffs but they could be a .500 team.

Minnesota Twins — They finish below .500

The Minnesota Twins made some offseason additions, the biggest being Carlos Correa. They got Sonny Gray for their rotation but after that, their rotation is very suspect. Their bullpen outside of Taylor Rogers is not good either.

Since they have virtually no pitching, the Twins will finish below .500, below the Royals, and in fourth place in the division.
