Chicago White Sox — They barely win the AL Central

Most people think that the Chicago White Sox will run away with the AL Central division. I can’t say that I don’t think that they will win the AL Central. However, that won’t be the case this year.

That’s partially because their ace, Lance Lynn, is going to be out for a while. However, a few of the other teams in the Central have gotten better.

Cleveland Guardians — They trade both Shane Bieber and José Ramírez before the MLB trade deadline

The Cleveland Guardians (outside of Myles Straw, José Ramirez, and Franmil Reyes) have a Triple-A lineup. Last year, the team wasn’t very good because they had a lot of rotation injuries.

Shane Bieber should be healthy this season so assuming he is, the Guardians could look to trade him. He would get them a boatload on the free agent market and José Ramírez would too.

Perhaps, they could get the Guardians some hitters that actually pan out in the majors because the last it’s been six years since they had a minor leaguer come up and pan out for them at the plate (Francisco Lindor).

However, that means that Cleveland would finish last in the division.
