Recently, our colleagues over at Yanks Go Yard, FanSided’s site for the New York Yankees, examined three members of the 2021 New York Yankees that are failing miserably for a different team this year.

But there plenty more than just three former Yankees that are failing miserably elsewhere in 2022.

If you don’t think these three players are the three that you’re thinking, go check out their list here and maybe one of the players you’re thinking of is mentioned over there.

Here’s our list of three more New York Yankees that are failing miserably elsewhere in 2022

1) Former New York Yankees outfielder Jackson Frazier (aka Clint Frazier) with the Chicago Cubs

Jackson Frazier (formerly known as Clint Frazier) did not have a successful tenure with the New York Yankees. He was injured a lot and his defense left a lot to be desired.

In 2021 with the Yankees, Frazier hit .186/.317/.317 in 66 games with an rWAR of -1.4.

In November, the Yankees released him and he ended up signing with the Chicago Cubs … where he has played just as poorly.

In 19 games in the majors, Frazier had a 86 OPS+ in the majors before they designated him for assignment. In 22 games in Triple-A with the Cubs, he has only hit .195/.295/.329.

Frazier was on MLB.com’s Top 100 prospect list for four straight years, peaking at #24 in his fourth and final season (2017). It just goes to show you that they are prospects for a reason.
