I always feel Memorial Day weekend is a good time to assess where your fantasy baseball team is currently sitting. The standings become a little more clear and you can address your needs with plenty of time left to recover.

Every team needs multiple outfielders to fill out there rosters and I have five listed below that are available in plenty of leagues and should be useful for the entire season

5 fantasy baseball outfielders you need to know

  • Michael Conforto is off to a nice startin his time with the San Francisco Giants. He has 11 home runs and 27 RBI. Conforto has legitimate power and 30 homers is not out of the question. He hit at least 27 homers in a three-year stretch from 2017-2019 with the Mets and should continue to produce if he stays healthy.
  • Lane Thomas is having a great season as the leadoff hitter for the Washington Nationals. He’s hitting .287 with eight homers and 34 runs. Thomas also has an 11-game hit streak and looks to have found a home in Washington. He should continue to score runs all season at the top of the lineup.
  • Bryan De La Cruz has two games with four hits in his last 10 outings and has cemented a starting role with the Miami Marlins. I think his counting stats will continue to pile up as he’s hitting .291 with six homers.
  • Zach McKinstry is getting an opportunity with the Detroit Tigers that he has been waiting for. They have been hitting him at the top of the order and he has responded by hitting .295 with 10 stolen bases. McKinstry has reached safely in 15 of his last 16 starts and should continue to produce with the opportunity Detroit is giving him.
  • Marcell Ozuna is on a tear! He has nine homers and 20 RBI in his last 21 games. Ozuna will likely be an everyday player moving forward and should produce at least 20 more home runs the rest of the way in a potent lineup.

These five outfielders can give you a much needed boost with the injuries that can happen on fantasy rosters. Most leagues require five outfielders, so grab them while they are still available.
