Jim is a graduate of Loyola University Maryland, where he studied writing and journalism. He played four seasons on Loyola’s Division II club baseball team. Since his dream of playing in the Majors is likely over, he’s attempting to make it in baseball through the media, hopefully as a writer. He’s been an intern twice—a sports copy desk intern at The Baltimore Sun and a writing intern for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks of the Cape Cod Baseball League. Jim is a Phillies and Orioles fan, though he considers himself a baseball fan first. Had he ever hit a home run, he likes to think he would’ve rounded the bases the way Scott Rolen, his favorite player, once did.
