Born and raised in southwestern Minnesota. Played baseball in high school and at Macalester College. Attended first Twins game in 1978. Highlight was watching Disco Danny Ford take the worst, successful, circuitous route to a fly ball. He then gave an exaggerated bow with a broad smile to the fans, and endearing me and my friends to professional baseball. His love became ours. It was further solidified by Hrbek, Puckett, Bruno, and Gaetti. With Torii Hunter now gone, looking to see who takes over the mantle that will inspire today's kids to become lifelong fans.
