It’s no secret it has been over 107 years since the North Side of Chicago has seen a World Series title. Actually, the North Side has never seen a title, because the Cubs played on the West Side of town the last time they won it all.

These Cubs shouldn’t be the butt of jokes anymore, though, because their roster is no laughing matter. With depth in every phase of the game, this team should be expected to make a strong push at the World Series, a place they haven’t been since World War II.

There is a lot of baseball to be played and anything can happen, but for these five reasons, the Cubs are set to finally break the Curse of the Billy Goat and set Wrigleyville ablaze this October.
