Cincinnati Reds pitcher Trevor Bauer is trolling the Houston Astros once again, proving his Twitter troll-game is top-notch.

With the shutdown nearing one month since the last spring training games took place, players are getting creative in how they are adapting to the downtime. Not Cincinnati Reds RHP Trevor Bauer though, he is up to the same internet trolling he was doing pre-coronavirus.

Since the beginning of March, Bauer sure has been busy staying in the news. He kicked off spring training this year by posting a video in rebuttal to Commissioner Rob Manfred’s plans to expand the playoff platform.

In one of his spring training appearances, Bauer told the hitters what type of pitch he was going to throw. He was mocking the Houston Astros on two fronts. He was making a point they are dirty in their sign-stealing attempts, and he was laying his cards on the table in the ultimate tip-pitching scenario.

Then, of course, Bauer organized the “sandlot” game to raise money for stadium workers who have been out of a job since the shutdown.

Bauer is not one to lay low in the weeds so he poked his head up again with his most recent Twitter post.

A young Trevor Bauer adorned in an Astros jersey standing next to a trophy. A direct shot at the Astros cheating scandal in his comments. Subtle without being too directive. Classic @BauerOutage move right there, back to what he does best.

He did have a long-standing beef with Alex Bregman of the Astros, though Bregman himself has laid low recently. His carry-the-bat-to-first-base display after hitting a home run in the World Series didn’t go over too well with fans outside of Houston. Especially since his whispers to the on-deck hitter once he crossed the plate spoke of pitch-tipping.

Props to Bregman on raising over two million dollars to feed hungry families in the Houston area.

I say good for Trevor Bauer for keeping this cheating scandal in the forefront of people’s minds, even when there is no baseball to be played.
