4) Johnny Cueto 

Johnny Cueto has been injured a lot in the last five seasons but, in 2021, he pitched his best since 2017.

Cueto, 36, made 22 appearances (21 starts) for the Giants and he had an ERA of 4.08 (100 ERA+). He had a 4.05 FIP and his best strikeout-to-walk rate (3.27:1) since he was an All-Star and came in 6th in NL Cy Young Award voting in 2016.

At his age, he likely won’t be the pitcher that he was in 2016 (or 2014, when he came 2nd in NL Cy Young Award voting) again but if he’s a league-average or slightly above, he could be a good fourth or fifth starter for a team.

3) Brett Anderson

Brett Anderson has had a slew of injuries throughout his career but he has been relatively healthy in the last three years.

For Milwaukee in 2021, Anderson, 34, made 24 starts and he had a 4.24 ERA (101 ERA+). He made 10 starts for the Brewers in 2020 with a 4.21 ERA (108 ERA+) and in 2019 with Oakland, he made 31 starts with a 3.89 ERA (111 ERA+).
